As you know, I’ve been away from my desk for a few weeks–in Portugal, where I rented an apartment in Lisbon for a month to use as a base.

It was a terrific visit delving into the Knights Templar, fascinating tile work, Roman ruins, and World Heritage sites. Wonderful wonders were discovered around each corner, in every nook and cranny, and up every hill (of which there are many).

I was lamenting the fact that I now have to return to work, when I stopped at the Post Office to pick up the collected mail and found this note from a student in Japan, where The Littlest Wolf is printed in Japanese, and I am reminded why I do what I do. My soul is restored.
